僕たちのホームページにようこそ。僕は石川源、源と書いて・みなと・と読みます。かつて広告代理のアートディレクターでした。新聞 広告や雑誌広告、テレビコマーシャルなどを作っていました。そして今は、パッケージを中心にマークロゴの開発やポスターなどのグラフィックデザイ ンが僕の仕事の主流です。アートディレクターの時代はコピーライターと組んで写真家やイラストレーターの方など、多くの仲間を巻き込み、まとめ上 げて仕事をしていました。要するにチームワークの仕事でした。今は写真もイラストもコピーも自分で作ることが多くなりました。（もちろん適材適 所、仲間の力を借りることもありますが。）また、いわゆるデザイン以外にも、色々なことをやらせていただきました。店舗のプロデュース、展覧会の プロデュース、舞台美術、海外でのデザインの技術指導、セミナーでの講師、ミュージックビデオの制作、アート作品としての、写真撮影（ポラロイ ド）、オブジェ（彫刻）制作、プロダクトの開発、雑誌でのインタビューページの連載・・・。こうやって書き出してみるとずいぶん色々ですが、やっ ぱりこれは僕にとって全部デザインなんです。もっと言い過ぎちゃうと、生きていること全部をデザインしている気分なんです。このホームページでそ んな僕と、僕の仲間のことを少しでも分かっていただけたらと、思う次第なんです。僕たちはいつも楽しくデザインをしています。デザインは、機能は もちろん、気分に訴えるもの、作り手が気分よく楽しく作っていなければ、良いデザインはできないと信じているからです。僕たちののデザインは気持 ちを込めた、開運デザインです。

Welcome to my homepage. My name is Minato Ishikawa.

Formerly, I was an art director for a advertising agency (Young&Rubicam Inc.). I did advertising for newspapers, magazines, and TV commercials. At present, I develop logos mainly for packages and graphic design for posters. As an art director, I worked with copy-writers as well as photographers and illustrators. Often, a lot of teamwork was required. Now, I do most of my own copies and illustrations (getting help from others from time to time).

In addition to my design work, I have done many other things, such as set up stores and exhibitions, done stage art, been an instructor of design abroad, been a seminar instructor, production of music video, arts photography,

object production, product development, introducing interview pages in magazines...and the list goes on.

Most of my work has been related in some way to design. As well, I don't

think I am exagerating when I say my life itself is "design".

I believe design should be practical yet at the same time, appeal to our

emotions and feelings. A good design is one that is born from the heart.

I hope that my homepage has helped you to learn more about my life, my work, and those around me. We truly enjoy a LIFE OF DESIGN.
